About PUNJAB CRICKET CLUB

Since 1991

PCCR has come a long way in their 30 years journey, what started with a single cricket team has transformed into a full-fledge cricket club in the beautiful city of Rotterdam. It has become a prize-winning club that is known for its friendliness, a multi-cultural club that is able to host both seniors and youth to play the gentlemen’s game. As we say in Punjabi (the language of the province Punjab): Ji aayan nu! - We welcome you!

Our journey

PCCR was founded in 1991 and throughout the years, it changed several locations and finally moved in 2006 to its present location. The club is situated very close to the motorway exit and a 10 minutes’ drive from city centre of Rotterdam.
In recent years, PCCR has invested intensively in their youth department and has multiple teams in different age groups playing in the Dutch cricket league, KNCB. As quoted by Aristotle: “Good habits formed at youth make all the difference”. Investing in the youth will reap the benefits in the future.

The kids actively train on weekdays and play their matches on the weekend and during the winter break, we facilitate them with indoor training.
The year 2021 was beside the 30th anniversary also the year in which PCCR secured the Dutch National Championship of the Topklasse cricket league. The happening was covered by the local media and attracted many visitors, despite the pandemic challenges. It was a long way to reach this milestone and we are proud to say we won the Dutch National Championship again in 2024!

The Board

The Board of Punjab Cricket Club Rotterdam is responsible for guiding the club’s vision, strategy, and operations. With a strong commitment to cricket and community, our board members bring diverse expertise to ensure the continued growth and success of the club.

The board of the association is elected and appointed by the General Meeting of Members. It consists of a chairman, secretary-treasurer, and additional members who each oversee specific areas within the club. Working closely together, they ensure that Punjab continues to operate efficiently and in line with its long-term vision.
Supporting the board are several committees responsible for key areas such as the KNCB liaison, municipal coordination, tournaments, canteen management, and accommodation facilities. These committees help manage the daily operations of the club and contribute to a smooth and enjoyable experience for all members and visitors.
The board is accountable to the members for the club’s policy, which it drafts and implements each year. This policy and the club’s progress are discussed and reviewed during the annual General Meeting of Members.
Board members are present at the sports complex several times a week, both on evenings and weekends, and are always approachable for members, parents, and visitors. In addition, the Youth Commission plays an important role in shaping and supporting the club’s youth cricket activities, ensuring that young players receive the best possible guidance, training, and opportunities to grow.
If you wish to contact the board directly, please send an email to info@punjabcricketclub.nl and a member of the board will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

Our Pathway Philosophy

PCCR Player Pathway provides an environment or journey that helps all cricketers realise their potential within cricket, whether that means they are a club player, or develop up the pathway to represent at various levels right the way up to Netherland’s age group cricket and the national men’s or woman’s squads.
The PCCR philosophy of developing players’ skills in a winning environment is seen throughout this pathway with the competition opportunities available at all levels.
The pathway is a journey players can enter at any stage and PCCR will do its best to facilitate each member of the club on their journey.
The pathway encompasses opportunities at all levels above club cricket for boys and girls and highlights the steps involved to get to the top, including all the contacts and links to fixtures.
